What is Henna?

from Wikipedia:
Henna (Lawsonia inermis) is a flowering plant used since antiquity to dye skin, hair, fingernails, leather and wool. The name is also used for dye preparations derived from the plant, and for the art of temporary tattooing based on those dyes.

Henna has been used for centuries to decorate the human body. I use the highest quality powdered henna, organic sugars, lemon juice, and essential oils to create a paste* that dries on skin then flakes off, leaving a brick-colored stain. The design lasts from one to three weeks.

*Henna paste is mixed 24-48 hours before application and contains no additives.
